Overview of the role:

Join our Insight Team to work as a strategic partner with clients, harnessing our online communities to deliver powerful insights that affect positive change and drive business growth.

We are seeking an innovative and experienced senior insight professional to join ResearchBods. You will be forthcoming with ideas for our dynamic and ever evolving company and thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment. You will excel in both client and team management, be able to contribute to department and company strategy, and exude enthusiasm when tasked with different client requirements and research topics.

Responsibilities will include overseeing and cultivating key client relationships, ensuring consistent smooth running of insight projects with impactful outcomes and overall reasonability for the commercial success of the accounts you manage.

The role comprises a combination of business development, account management, team management and insight delivery. Both quantitative and (online) qualitative work will be required, however there will be a greater focus on quantitative methodologies and each client will have individual styles and requirements.

You will be part of a larger team and will be expected to work flexibly and with others. Initially you will have two to three people reporting directly to you.

All of our work is delivered to the highest standard and this will need to be maintained for all clients in order to build lasting relationships with them.

Your focus and responsibilities:

  • Responding to client briefs and working with managers to design the best solution for potential projects
  • Take responsibility of clients and ensure that they are receiving the highest quality of insight
  • Delegate tasks where appropriate and manage project roles within your team
  • Cultivate client relationships, being approachable and helpful to queries and requests
  • Maintain a consistent presence with clients, arranging regular meetings and leading the discussions
  • Oversee production of reports and presentations delivered to clients, ensuring objectives are met
  • Ensure client satisfaction, contribute to account planning and ultimately account growth
  • Train, manage and mentor junior members of the team

Role Breakdown

Client Management will account for 20-30% of the role, involving:
  • Building new, and nurturing existing, client relationships
  • Meticulously understanding each client’s business and industry
  • Identifying communities which may be ‘at-risk’
  • Facilitating strategic planning discussions, account servicing and monthly strategy meetings
  • Leading client calls and keeping other team members updated
  • Understanding ResearchBods’ solutions and new developments, enabling upselling if appropriate
  • Account planning and strategy

Insight delivery will account for 40-50% of the role, involving:
  • Upon receipt of the client project requests, determining the requirements and opportunities of each project and quote costing, or proposal writing if required
  • Overseeing project documents such as questionnaires, tab specs, recruitment screeners, discussion room content, final reports etc
  • Managing the delivery of insight projects including quality assurance, sampling, deployment, analysis and reporting
  • Ongoing communication with clients on the project status
  • Management of other team members’ input into client accounts
  • Ensuring all projects remain on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction
  • Liaising with other internal teams to ensure that projects are running smoothly and to schedule
  • Team management and mentoring will account for 20-30% of the role, involving:
  • Overseeing activities and outputs of junior members of staff
  • Providing induction and training where necessary
  • Mentoring and conducting regular one to one sessions with team members

Your skills and attributes:

  • You will be an experienced insight professional with 7 + years in market research and 4/5 years in an agency environment
  • Experience in online communities and a client research role are desirable
  • You excel in research skills including questionnaire design, online survey best practice, data analysis and report writing with experience of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Online qualitative experience e.g. online focus groups is desirable
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to multi task and oversee several projects / tasks at any one time within tight timescales and with a clear and organised approach
  • Ability to delegate and monitor wider team responsibilities to ensure client requirements are met and exceeded, on time and to budget
  • Customer focused with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive client relationships, in a similar research environment, taking responsibility for meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations
  • You recognise the importance of team working and cultivate good working relationships with your own and your wider teams
  • An experienced line manager, you act as a positive role model and understand the importance of working as a team, sharing ideas and best practice
  • You understand the importance of clear and regular feedback and coaching regarding the progress and performance of your team and can identify and use opportunities to develop individuals
  • A confident communicator you use your excellent communication skills, especially written and verbal, to help build strong working relationships both internally and externally and ensure clear communication between key stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and eager to be part of and contribute to the evolution of the company and company activities
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • You display awareness and understanding of GDPR rules and guidelines and are mindful of these in everyday activities and ensuring compliance within the team/ company and with clients data
